Welcome to The Microcosmic Universe, the myriad of tiny worlds within our own, populated by tiny adventurers exploring and learning to live in our world in their own miniature way. To do so they must look around for inspiration on how to overcome the challenges and obstacles of being so small in such a big world. Borrowing techniques and strategies from those who have adapted to their environment, the mechanical whizzes study the flight of birds, the underwater abilities of fish, and the strategies of plants and seeds, to name a few.

The MU makes unique products that empower kids to imagine, invent, and create the world anew themselves. The MU contains fresh new stories and original content that seeks active engagement from a new generation of innovators. The MU makes products that are beautifully designed and responsibly manufactured. As of 2011, all MU products are made in the USA.
About Us
Janny Baek and Thomas McMahon met while studying architecture at Harvard University. Their combined experiences as makers and designers range from sculpture to animation to architecture. Founded in 2010 in Brooklyn, NY, The MU was created for and inspired by their two young daughters, who are fascinated by everything.
